About KellyTahlia
Disability Support Worker
I'm a young person with disabilities, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, and traits of other conditions like OCD and dyslexia. My family is neurodivergent in various ways, both diagnosed and undiagnosed. Growing up with my sister, who has a rare genetic mutation and an intellectual disability, and with a mother working in disability support, I learned the importance of community within the autistic experience. My interests are diverse and change frequently, but I love playing my electric acoustic guitar, especially country music; using makeup for artistic expression; drawing realistic portraits; tending to our family terrarium; caring for plants; and my passion for animals. I also enjoy collecting vinyl records from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, exploring true crime and criminal psychology, baking old-fashioned desserts, and playing Pokémon Go. While I don’t have much time for intense gaming, I follow stories from titles like God of War and Fallout 4, and I currently enjoy lighter indie games on Steam. Having navigated a world that felt alien, I want to help others recognise their own signs and symptoms. My goal is to empower young people with strategies to avoid burnout or breakdown. I believe everyone deserves support and understanding, and I'm committed to making a difference in their lives.

I have been a local on the coast for many years and love getting out and about. I am passionate about sports, I enjoy fishing, camping, going 4-wheel driving in the bush as well as playing video games on many platforms. I also enjoy going to live games including basketball, soccer, baseball, netball, cricket, and tennis. I like to pursue an active lifestyle and encouraging my participants take part in the community within their areas of interest.
About BeauBecky
Disability Support Worker
Hi, I'm Becky, and I'm super passionate about being a support worker. As a mum of two amazing boys, I understand the importance of having someone who cares and understands. My personal experience with close family members who have various disabilities has fuelled my passion for this field. I'm currently studying my Certificate III in Individual Support, which is giving me a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. I'm dedicated to furthering my knowledge and skills in the field and am always looking for ways to give back to the community. When I was younger, I volunteered at "sensory movie days". These movie sessions are for families with children who live with disabilities. I made sure the kids were safe, but I also got to hang out with them and make new friends. This experience solidified my desire to become a support worker myself. I now volunteer at Sydney Children's Hospital. It's a rewarding experience to be able to support children and their families during difficult times and put a smile on faces, providing fun for the kids and a helping hand for families. When I'm not busy being a mum, I love exploring the outdoors and spending quality time with my family. I find joy in going to the beach and parks with my loved ones, and I cherish every moment I spend with them. I have been a committed and reliable member of the Shine Bright Care team since August last year. In this time, I've made countless meaningful memories and connection. I believe that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling life, and I'm committed to doing my part to make that a reality for the individuals I support.
